Once the file ProCLIPS.sit is downloaded, do the following;

If the download DOES NOT automatically expand:

1. Create a folder on HARD called PROCLIPS
2. Decompress ProCLIPS.sit in the PROCLIPS folder

If the download DOES automatically expand, a folder on your desktop called "ProCLIPS"
will be created:

1. Drag the ProCLIPS folder from the desktop into HARD

Next...

Answer YES to this screen.

Use username="SYSOP"
password="PASSWORD"
for initial signon.

You will also have to set the format for hospital numbers and initials for your institution during the first logon. Note: You may be asked whether you are the only one logged onto the system during this process. Answer YES. This is so ProCLIPS can upgrade files to version 2.6 compliance. These Questions will not be repeated during any future sessions.

As SYSOP, You
will also be
asked whether to

Set AutoPilot ON,
RE NORMALIZE and
RECREATE INDEXES.

Say NO, No, NO!

   Note: A set of default usernames and passwords are already entered into ProCLIPS.
          For security reasons, these should be modified but can only be changed by
          the SYSOP or MANAGER.

      Access Level               Username      Password

3. Once in, select SYSTEM - MODIFY - CONFIGURATION. Enter the correct
   FACILITY information, user information and hospital number format. You should not need to
   modify DATAPATH or FILEPATH.

   SAVE the settings, and YES, make changes permanent. Overwrite any existing files.

4. Make sure your printer is set up properly (SYSTEM - MODIFY - PRINT SETUP)

IMPORTANT: All files should be backed up daily, and NEVER turn off the machine without
            exiting ProCLIPS. Never leave ProCLIPS running overnight.

Note that, on Macintosh systems without function keys,
Function Key = option+apple.  For example, F1=option+apple+1.

Good luck.
